OUTDOORS BEGIN THE MOMENT YOU STEP OUTSIDE THE DOOR… INTO THE WORLD
An adventurous spirit which is still deeply rooted in our heritage and in the way we call the world our home. It’s the reason why you can find a Portuguese citizen in every corner of the planet and why Portuguese is the fifth most spoken language in the world. It’s as natural and simple as being called Berg - a short and strong name that can easily be read whatever the language and that represents the spirit of adventure that defines the brand; the German word for “mountain”.
Active, confident, curious, adventurous, authentic and aware of the world around it, Berg is a brand that combines comfort, functionality, versatility and contemporary design, aimed at everyone seeking to live each day to the fullest and to be prepared for every adventure.
At Berg we’re passionate about product development, working every single day on the details of each one of them, looking for the best connection between design and function, natural and urban. A work that aims at inspiring people to become explorers, to live each day as an adventure and to discover the world around us, from the highest mountain peaks to city parks.
Along with this sense of adventure, innovation is also at the core of our culture. A strong value which we honor by finding new applications for already existing products and by creating new products that meet our athletes' and customers' needs; products that combine comfort, great design, versatility and smart performance at the best possible value; products thought to be used every day, everywhere, preparing you for everything.
Because the outdoor adventure begins the moment you step outside your door and go…into the world.
IN BERG WE AIM AT
«THE EARTH IS WHAT WE ALL HAVE IN COMMON. » Wendell Berry
As an outdoor brand, protecting nature is one of our main interests. That’s why we are a proud member of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA), an association created in 2006 that currently counts with nearly 130 members, including brands, manufacturers, retailers and dealers. This association focuses on raising money to put into conservation projects and on promoting ‘care and respect for wild places’ within outdoor and potential outdoor consumers.
This summer (2016), EOCA is celebrating 10 years of existence, having given €2 million to over 71 conservation projects in 39 different countries. A clear demonstration that if we all work together the European Outdoor Industry can really make a difference!
