Who is Sonae’s Ombudsman?

Pedro Cupertino de Miranda is Sonae’s Ombudsman since January 2020, also integrating Sonae’s Ethics Committee.

Experience and Education

He has a degree in Computer Systems Engineering at Universidade do Minho. Throughout his career, Pedro has continuously strengthened his management skills. Proof of this is the completion of a General Management Course at Porto Business School, as well as several certificates issued by international organisations such as the Institute of Risk Management, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the European Institute of Public Administration.

Pedro began his professional life in the field of Information Technologies 25 years ago, working in various positions within the Sonae Group, namely in the retail sector, as IT Auditor Manager. Later, within the Corporate Centre, he became responsible for Risk Management, Cybersecurity and Data Protection.
