Every yearSonae invests over 8 million euros in corporate responsibility initiatives, as cultureand art are one of the pillars of our actions. Accordingly, we consider music playsa crucial role in our contribution to the community, for it allows for an innovativeand differentiating reflection and reinterpretation of society and the world.
As part ofour partnership with Casa da Música –of which we are Founding Patrons – we have developed several initiatives, bothinternally and externally. For example, this very month of October we workedwith Casa da Música developing aspecific workshop for our employees and their families for the InternationalMusic Day.
On theother hand, this year, 2016, we have again taken on the role of Patron of Orquestra Sinfónica da Casa da Música, theinstitution’s main resident group. And as part of this relationship, Saturday,15 October, Sonae and Worten will once again support the internationalisationof this group, for a concert at Spain’s National Music Auditorium, in Madrid. Thisevent is now on its third consecutive year thanks to the support of Worten, whichhas been received with great enthusiasm by Madrid’s audience.
It is our belief that, with this particular action andseveral others, we are fulfilling our purpose of bringing society closer to theArts and thuscontributing to promote creativity and innovation.
