During the Assessment Day the selected
candidates gave their best and showed what it meant to "have world” – this
edition’s challenge that sought Gyroscopers, open-minded talents with a global
perspective. Afterwards, the recruiting stage of the 2016 Contacto Programme came
to a joyful end with the Contacto Day, spent in a very relaxed environment. The
about 50 gyroscopers introduced themselves in what were quite original pitches,
demonstrating shrewdness and ability to improvise while being quizzed, before
an audience that included business leaders and members of the several companies
in the group.
The new trainees were welcomed by the Co-CEOs,
Paulo Azevedo and Ângelo Paupério, whose messages highlighted not only the
importance of talent, but especially that of integrity, intelligence and energy
while managing their personal and professional path.
For the first time ever, several generations of the Programme came
together with the presence of the 2015 trainees (who presented mini-documentaries
featuring the best practices developed
during their internships), the 2016 Gyroscopers and ex-Contacto participants
from previous editions! Different stages of professional careers, all with the
same purpose: to celebrate Contacto’s
ability to evolve, acknowledging that while remaining faithful to our original
mission, we’ve also been able to renovate the programme over the years and
overcome the challenges brought upon by the business and the different generations of young talents.
It was a
wonderful day celebrating the 30th anniversary of a programme that has
opened new perspectives and broken barriers throughout these years.
